Full Day Wedding Photography Melbourne
Wedding Photography isn’t just about taking photos, it’s about telling a story. Your story. I specialize in weddings in the Yarra Valley & Dandenongs, however, I will travel all over Victoria, Australia and even internationally to capture your special day. My mission is to give you photos that you want to look back on in years to come, and bring back all the emotions you were feeling on your special day.
I capture real moments and real emotions and have a lot of fun with you along the way.
Photographing weddings is my passion – and I believe that shines through in both the work I produce and the way I interact with my couples. I have a very unobtrusive approach to wedding photography and keep the photos as natural as possible. I am very much a candid photographer, who documents your day as it unfolds. I’m not one of those photographers who direct every single movement you take throughout your day, I want you to feel comfortable, relaxed and have fun. My full day coverage ensures that the most important parts of your day are not missed or forgotten. I arrive in the morning when you’re getting ready and leave at the end of the reception.
Bride Getting Ready
Your special day is finally here. Your nervous and your heart is pounding, but the sense of excitement of what’s ahead is what really fills your entire body. This is one of the most emotional parts of your wedding day. Your closest family and girlfriends surround you and encourage you and are ready to see you shine.
Whilst everything is happening, I make sure I’m capturing every detail and every special moment. From your stunning dress & jewellery to the moment your parents see you for the first time in your dress. All the natural & raw emotions are captured.
Groom Getting Ready
The groom getting ready is usually the start of the wedding day, and it’s the only part of the day that is hidden from you, the bride, until after you receive your wedding photos back. It’s then when you can really see just how much mischief your now-husband got up to.
When I arrive at the groom’s house, I’m often greeted by a nervous groom who is surrounded by his closest friends and a beer in hand. The guys generally just want to have some fun and have a good laugh before the wedding cars arrive and take them to the all-important ceremony.
The moment you’ve been waiting for, and the moment your whole day surrounds. The ceremony. It’s the most important and meaningful part of the entire day. From your dad walking you down the aisle, to the exchanging of rings, to the first kiss, and the congratulations from your loved ones. The greatest moment of your life, and the most emotional one, I make sure I capture these moments as they unfold. I capture them truthfully and honestly, telling your story as it happened.
It’s important to me that you get at least one photo of every person at your wedding. They are the closest friends and loved ones that you invited. That’s why I ensure that a group photo is taken after the ceremony, it’s a great memory to look back on.
This is also the time that the formal family portraits are taken, as well as plenty of candids.
Locations & Sunset Photos
You’re relieved that the formal part of the day is over, and you just want to let loose and have some fun! This is the time that you can unwind with the bridal party and get some amazing candid photos, as well as some shots with a little more direction.
Depending on your schedule, we can get some gorgeous sunset photos, or we can pop out of the reception later for 5 minutes too. These photos are natural, romantic and can be almost magical.
Most photographers finish the day at the start of the reception, as they have time limits on their packages. I stay until the end. This ensures all the formal and informal parts of your night are told.
From the cake cut, to the speeches, to the first dance & exit, I’ll capture everything along with the candid moments throughout. This is one of the best times of the day to capture natural, raw emotions from your guests as they enjoy the party.
Engagement photo sessions are a really great way for you to have some fun and get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. It also gives us an opportunity to hang out, have some laughs and get to know each other. It also gives you a chance to get some amazing photos of you and your fiance in a different type of location than that of your wedding day.
Once we’ve decided on the perfect location, we can organise a day and time. A typical session lasts up to one hour, and I recommend shooting during the hour before sunset. This is called the golden hour and during this time, the sun gives us amazing light to work with. The light’s much softer and more romantic.
Wear something fun, something nice and most importantly something that’s you!
